Sissinghurst
In this jam-packed week you will work on a real design project in studio, with feedback and tutoring during the process. Morning lectures include "The Design Process," "Designing With Style," "Principles of Planting Design," "Horticulture and The Design Professional," "Creating A Portfolio That Sells," and "Selling Your Ideas." Afternoons are spent primarily in the studio. The week ends with each student presenting his/her design to the class for critique and feedback.
Hidcote
Hidcote takes a departure from our normal format. The in-house subtitle for this courses is “Creativity and Communication.” This session will exercise the right side of your brain. We’ll explore different design disciplines and learn to apply them to landscape design. With lateral thinking and other design exercises, we’ll learn how to apply what we observe in art, nature, music and even standup comedy to landscape design.

Morning lectures include "The Dirt on Working With Contractors," "Lighting Basics," "Standards, Codes and Regulations," "Irrigation Basics," "Designing With Trees," "Site Layout Strategies," and "Selling Your Ideas." Afternoons are spent primarily in the studio. The week ends with each student presenting his/her design to the class for critique and feedback.
