The American Academy of Landscape Design is an advanced education curriculum whose goal is to improve landscape designers' understanding of the most sophisticated and often overlooked aspects of landscape design. Graduates will possess the confidence and skill set that will differentiate them from other designers and will allow them to effectively communicate ideas based on sound design principles.
The American Academy of Landscape Design offers a selection of intensive 2 to 5-day courses that focus on honing your creative prowess with personal design coaching as well as classroom subjects from design theory through construction techniques to business practices and sales. Taught by industry professionals in the easily-accessible Chicago-area, AALD training improves the real-world skills of landscape designers and architects who are serious about building reputations for high-quality residential commissions. Landscape Design Workshop
Consider bringing a design workshop to your green industry group. In this two- to three-day workshop, you will create a landscape design from start to finish. Day One begins with a review of design principles and a discussion of goals for the Workshop. Students are expected to then apply these concepts to a design they create over a two- or three-day period. At the end of the class, each student will present his or her design solution and the class will have a chance to see how others approached the project.

The curriculum is targeted at landscape architects and landscape designers with at least two years' working experience.

Other than absolute beginners, all levels of experience welcome.
